Così semplice – Simply that

Letteralmente circondati da trasmissioni TV che ci parlano di successo a basso prezzo ci viene da chiedere dove sia finita la dedizione per l’arte.

È semplice finire in TV a 19 anni e cantare qualche cover in modo sguaiato di fronte ad un pubblico che si preoccupa solo di guardarti il culo.

E’ semplice finire poi in uno studio di registrazione a cantare pezzi non tuoi preparati apposta per il tuo lancio discografico.

E’ semplice poi iniziare con qualche lezione di canto, qualche nozione su come comportarsi sul palco, come sorridere, qualche sana lezione di yoga per mantenere l’autocontrollo, magari una dieta e qualche piccolo intervento chirurgico estetico.

E’ semplice che poi dopo il primo disco, arrivi un’altra persona nella stessa trasmissione da cui sei uscito tu che farà lo stesso percorso. E’ facile che poi non ci sarà più posto per te.

E’ semplice in fondo, è una grande ruota e sai perfettamente che eri lì per caso… perché forse ti manca una cosa che oggi non esiste più e si chiama GAVETTA.

Sono un po’ contro questo genere di cose, il messaggio che dalla TV passa è che diventare famosi sia semplice, sia per tutti ma allo stesso tempo per pochi, in fondo basta avere un po’ di pazzia, avere ancora una giovane età e qualche mese di tempo da buttare.

Ma non è così che si fa. Magari fra cento anni saremo così abituati a questa arte di plastica, a questo indotto talento che non ci faremo più caso. Sono proprio della vecchia scuola… non so quanto oggi questo sia un bene.

Esagerando poi, mi viene da pensare che prima o poi in TV ci sarà un talent show anche per diventare piloti di Formula1, o per illustratori grafici, per ingegneri nucleari… insomma… più si va avanti e meno risulta evidente che certe cose bisogna PRIMA studiarle e POI metterle in pratica. Poi sapere se il successo arriva o no… dipende da altri fattori. Sicuramente la situazione di oggi parte da un punto di partenza sbagliato. Secondo me almeno.

Ascolto ogni tanto cose nuove… Nickelback con appunto Rockstar… il testo nella sezione Musica del blog esprime in modo appropriato quel che voglio dire.

Surrounded by TV broadcastings ready to show us how easy could it be to get success… how cheap it could be… so much that I wonder where is the principle of “The Art” going.

It’s so easy to perform on TV when you’re 19y.o. singin’ totally out of tune in front of a public ready just to contemplate your ass.

It’s so easy to get in a recording studio to sing songs you’ve not written and that are ready for the first upcoming record, your breakthrough in the biz.

It’s so easy to take some lesson to learn how to sing, how to act on a stage, some yoga to get more self-control and maybe a diet or a surgery to fix your nose or else.

It’s so easy then… when after your first record from the SAME TV and same talent show… another 19y.o. would come up and follow your steps. It’s so easy then… that there will be no place for you.

It’s easy in the end, isn’t it? It’s like a big wheel turning and you’re perfectly aware that you was at that point for just a short amount of time and by pure chance.. because you’re missing the most important thing of them all: you didn’t climb your ranks from the bottom.

I quite disagree with all that. What’s the message that we receive from those talent shows? The message is: success is easy to get, is for everybody but at the same time not for everybody, the only things required are: be young and crazy enough to try it and with a little time to waste.

No way! This is not how things should be. Maybe in 100 years time from now we will be used to this art made of plastic, to this presumed talent and we will not be surprised anymore. I am old school for that… I know, I know… but what I really don’t know is… how good is being old school today.

And getting to extremes, I guess that there will come a time where on TV you will get talent shows for anything… drive a Formula1 car or for illustrators for graphic matters or nuclear engineers… I mean, what comes so evident to my eyes is that to do some things you need to STUDY them first and THEN you need to practice, and A LOT before you achieve your desired results.

And only when you reached that point the matter of being in a condition to become a superstar or not is due to other factors. And for what is the situtation today… it’s all taken from the wrong side.
